Inspired by the life and work of the late Antoinette Lashay Powell, the Ark Angel Foundation is a non-profit organization created to restore kindness and inspire intentional living.
To know Antoinette was to love her. When she walked into the room, you took notice. Not just because of her undeniable beauty, but you could feel the positive energy radiating from her. She was truly a force to be reckoned with, but in the most loving and compassionate way. She was friendly, intelligent, and beautiful. Most importantly, she was KIND.
Along with several other titles, Antoinette was crowed Miss Black Mississippi in 2017 and Miss Black Universe in 2018 and served under the platform “The Ark Project”. ARK - Acts of Random Kindness
Following the untimely and unexpected loss of Antoinette, a group of her family and friends set out to ensure that her legacy would live on forever.
The Ark Angel Foundation is a non-profit organization determined to aid in the restoration of kindness in humanity through not only acts of random kindness, but through the development of programs and social movements that promote kindness in all aspects of life. It is also our vision to create a more informed public; one inspired and invigorated by a deeper understanding of the physical and emotional benefits of kindness. Kindness is compassion to strangers, it’s both empowering and the ability to empower, it is art. Most importantly, kindness in intentional, inclusive, and it’s the future we all hope to see. The Ark Angel Foundation umbrella houses strategic projects that work to foster intentional living among all.

We are dedicated to supporting our community members in a variety of ways and measuring our success not by monetary size, but by more qualitative measurements such as the scale and effectiveness of our efforts.
